On 18 July 2026, in Tam Ky Ward, Da Nang City, the Da Nang Architects Association successfully organized a series of activities in celebration of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Association of Architects (VAA). The program featured the Expanded Da Nang Architects Pickleball Tournament, the “Coffee with Architects” Forum, and a community outreach initiative supporting mountainous communes in the city.

Designed to foster professional exchange, strengthen connections among members, architects, government officials, and industry partners, and promote a spirit of solidarity and creativity within the profession, the Association organized a range of meaningful activities in the lead-up to the VAA Congress.

The series opened with the Expanded Da Nang Architects Pickleball Tournament, organized by the Da Nang Architects Association Pickleball Club at the D-Pickleball Sports Complex in Tam Ky Ward under the theme “Unity – Connection – Development”. Later that afternoon, the Association hosted the “Coffee with Architects” Forum at the Muong Thanh Grand Quang Nam Hotel under the theme “Development Challenges in the Post-Integration Era”.

The tournament was held in a spirit of friendship, solidarity, and sportsmanship.

The forum provided a platform for participants to discuss a wide range of issues related to urban planning, landscape design, and cultural identity in urban development. Drawing on professional expertise and practical experience, architects proposed numerous ideas to contribute to the city’s master planning, supporting the vision of Da Nang as a livable, sustainable, and culturally distinctive coastal city.

The “Coffee with Architects” program brought together experts, policymakers, architects, and partners from across the city.

The day’s activities concluded with a “Connection” Gala, combined with the awards ceremony for the pickleball tournament. Team Kien Do Thi (Urban Architecture) claimed the championship title, followed by Team Kien Hoi Nhap (Integration Architecture) in second place. Team Kien Di San (Heritage Architecture) and Team Kien Tien Phong (Pioneering Architecture) shared third place.

Alongside its professional and networking activities, the Da Nang Architects Association is also collaborating with Family Hospital and the Da Nang City Inspectorate to organize the community program “Architects for the Mountain Communities of Da Nang City”, scheduled to take place on 26 July 2026 in Tra My Commune. The program will provide health screenings and consultations for policy beneficiary families, elderly residents, and children, donate 300 sets of school textbooks, and offer professional consultations on planning, landscape design, and architectural and urban development solutions tailored to local conditions.

The series represents a meaningful contribution by the Da Nang Architects Association in celebration of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Association of Architects, while creating opportunities for healthy recreation, strengthening solidarity among members, and enhancing collaboration with industry partners. The Association remains committed to creating platforms for professional dialogue where creative ideas can flourish and sustainable architectural values can be shared, fostering a stronger future for architecture in Da Nang. It also continues to encourage and support architecture students from local universities to participate in the Association’s activities. Through these initiatives, the Da Nang Architects Association demonstrates the social responsibility of the architectural profession while delivering meaningful benefits to local communities.
