Invitation to Attend GEBT – GILE 2026 in Guangzhou: Asia’s Hub for Smart Building and Green Transformation

From 9-12 June 2026, the Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology 2026 (GEBT 2026) and the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition 2026 (GILE 2026) will take place at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, China. Recognized as one of Asia’s leading events in building electrical technology and lighting, the exhibitions continue to strengthen their role as an international platform connecting architecture, technology, energy and sustainable building operations.

The Architecture Magazine of the Vietnam Association of Architects will continue to support Vietnamese delegates with registration assistance and exclusive participation benefits. Readers and professionals interested in attending are warmly invited to register.

A platform connecting smart technology and sustainable architecture

Organized by Messe Frankfurt, GEBT is part of the Light + Building ecosystem – one of the world’s most influential trade fair networks for building technologies. As 5G, the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Building Information Modeling (BIM) continue to accelerate the shift toward digitalized, intelligent and low-carbon construction, GEBT 2026 places a strong emphasis on technologies that improve operational efficiency, reduce energy consumption and enhance living environments.

According to the organizer, the 2025 edition of the combined GEBT – GILE exhibitions attracted 3,188 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions, along with 211,173 professional visitors from 151 countries and regions across a total exhibition area of 250,000 square meters. Vietnam remained among the top 10 international markets with the highest number of professional attendees.

Key Themes of 2026: Low-Carbon Smart Buildings and Connected Living

This year’s exhibition will focus on three major sectors: low-carbon intelligent buildings, smart home automation, and smart hospitality systems.

In the smart building segment, exhibitors will showcase building automation systems, equipment monitoring and energy management solutions, intelligent power distribution, renewable energy technologies, energy storage systems, bidirectional charging stations, integrated source-grid-load-storage systems, as well as power quality management and electrical fire protection technologies. Together, these innovations reflect the transformation of modern buildings from static structures into intelligent operational ecosystems capable of real-time monitoring, data analysis and performance optimization.

For smart homes, GEBT 2026 will continue expanding its showcase of intelligent lighting control, ventilation and cooling systems, home audio and entertainment technologies, smart curtains and shading solutions, intercom systems, home energy management platforms, cloud-based services, wireless connectivity and smart appliances. Notably, this year’s exhibition highlights the integration of AI and sensor technologies, pointing toward a more personalized, connected and experience-oriented living model.

Thematic Zones Reflect Emerging Industry Trends

One of the highlights of GEBT 2026 is its system of specialized exhibition zones dedicated to emerging technologies and industry applications, including:

  • KNX Zone – featuring open-standard smart building and home automation solutions.
  • Matter Zone – presenting cross-platform compatibility technologies that enable seamless interoperability among smart devices.
  • Low-carbon Intelligent Building Zone – the key focus area of this year’s exhibition, showcasing integrated energy management systems and data-driven low-carbon building operations.
  • Smart Power Distribution Zone – highlighting intelligent electrical infrastructure, energy storage and power management solutions.
  • Smart Hotel & Smart Audio – Visual Solutions – introducing technologies for hospitality, conference spaces and commercial environments.

These themed areas not only display products but also demonstrate real-world applications across offices, healthcare environments, retail spaces and next-generation connected living environments.

Industry Forums: Where Technology, Policy and Practice Converge

Alongside the exhibition, GEBT 2026 will continue to serve as a professional forum through a series of conferences and side events bringing together experts, enterprises and international organizations. This year’s discussions will focus on AI applications, low-carbon development strategies, building automation and global market expansion.

The forums are expected to become a meeting point between technological innovation, policy orientation and practical implementation, while also opening opportunities for deeper dialogue on the future of smart building development in Asia.
