Young Vietnamese Architects Club Holds 4th Executive Committee Meeting in Quang Tri, Shaping Vision for the 2026-2030 Term

Over two days, from 11-12 April 2026, the Executive Committee of the Young Vietnamese Architects Club successfully convened its fourth meeting in the historic province of Quang Tri, alongside a series of professional exchange activities. Held under the close guidance and support of the Vietnam Association of Architects, the event marked an important step in defining strategic directions for the Club’s new 2026-2030 term.

The programme began with a ceremonial incense offering at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Temple. In a solemn atmosphere, Dr. Architect Phan Dang Son, President of the Vietnam Association of Architects; Architect Nguyen Thu Phong, Vice President of the Association; Architect Bui Duc Huy, Head of the Young Vietnamese Architects Club; together with Executive Committee members, paid tribute and reaffirmed the responsibility of architects in contributing to the nation’s next stage of development.

Following travel and settlement activities in the Phong Nha area, the fourth Executive Committee Meeting officially commenced. Under the direction of the Association’s leadership, discussions focused on two key issues: a comprehensive review of the Club’s activities in the previous term and the development of organisational plans, personnel restructuring and an action programme draft for the fifth term (2026-2030).

Speaking at the conference, Dr. Architect Phan Dang Son emphasised the importance of strengthening and expanding the movement of young architects nationwide: “The Standing Executive Committee of the Young Vietnamese Architects Club needs to conduct a comprehensive review and continue to further develop activities across regions and provinces. Local club programmes should be aligned with goals of innovation and adaptability in response to the country’s new development context”.

Nguyen Thu Phong, Architect, Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Architects

Sharing the same perspective, Architect Nguyen Thu Phong highly appreciated the outcomes of the meeting while reaffirming the pioneering and successor role of the young architect community. “This session has generated valuable discussions on vision, organisational strategies and programme ideas. The Vietnam Association of Architects recognises the pioneering spirit and continuity represented by young architects. We hope the Executive Committee will continue fostering solidarity and creativity, strengthening connections among local clubs nationwide, and especially enhancing professional support for young architecture offices through seminars, training programmes, competitions and awards”, he said.

Addressing leadership orientation in the digital era, Architect Bui Duc Huy stressed the importance of building a new generation of inspirational leaders: “We are not merely looking for people who can work, but for inspiring leaders – individuals with influence, communication thinking and the ability to bridge senior generations with young architects. The combination of experience and youthful creativity will be the key for the Club to lead architectural trends in the new era”.

The conference unfolded in an open and constructive atmosphere, with active contributions from representatives across different regions, reflecting the spirit of dialogue, renewal and commitment among Vietnam’s young architects.
