After more than a month since its launch, together with a series of inspiring talks by experts and architects, the Bamboo Expo Competition 2025 – Vietnam National Round has officially concluded, marking a successful and highly impressive season.

This year marks the fourth time Vietnam has participated in this international platform. The competition attracted over 100 registered teams (nearly 500 students and lecturers) from 15 leading architectural schools nationwide, including HUCE, UAH, HAU, VLU, HCMUT, DAU, among others.
The Organizing Committee selected 55 outstanding projects for exhibition and evaluation in the National Final Round.
Under the theme “Minimalism × Bamboo,” the competition posed a significant challenge while opening up opportunities for students to explore bamboo as a material from fresh perspectives. Both the quantity and quality of submissions this year demonstrated a high level of competitiveness, clearly reflected in the dynamic and rigorous jury critiques – true to the spirit of: “Not only bamboo – not only competition.”
The competition has selected one sole representative from Vietnam to advance to the Bamboo Expo Competition 2025 International Final in China. The winning project will be realized as a 1:1 scale structure by the international organizing committee at Nanshan Park, Guangzhou.

It provides an international academic platform for innovation and creativity with global impact, serving as a meaningful exchange channel between faculty and students while offering a stage for research and presentation of sustainable building materials.
