Activities to celebrate Vietnam Architecture Day April 27

Towards the 77th anniversary of Vietnam Architecture Day (April 27, 1948 – April 27, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, Associations and Branches of Vietnam Architects across the country have organized a series of rich and meaningful events, spreading the spirit of love for the industry, creativity and solidarity in the profession.

Military Architects Association

In Hanoi, the commemorative activities took place enthusiastically, in which the highlight was the exchange program chaired by the Military Architects Association, in coordination with other associations: University of Construction, Hanoi University of Architecture and the Ministry of Public Security. The program lasted two days (April 12-13, 2025), taking architects through three key localities in the North.

In Hai Phong, the delegation visited the City Administration Center – a new symbolic project with modern architecture, advanced planning, expected to become a new urban highlight.
In Thai Binh, the workshop “The art of sublimation from the soil” at Mikado Group brought a new perspective on the application of traditional materials in contemporary architecture, opening up many innovations for the future.
In Nam Dinh, the delegation offered incense at Tran Temple, expressing gratitude to ancestors, connecting tradition and modernity in the architectural journey.

Following that, on April 26, the Association organized an in-depth program at the Institute of Design of the General Department of Logistics and Engineering, introducing new construction material technology, modern elevator solutions applied in defense projects, and awarding awards for outstanding projects in 2025 and launching creative works in the field of military architecture.

At the same time, the Association also participated in the CONCUP 2025 Architectural Football Tournament, contributing to strengthening the connection between architectural units in the industry, building a spirit of fair-play and enthusiasm for “soldier ants”.

Central Agency Architects Association

In particular, on the morning of April 26 at the Headquarters of the Vietnam Association of Architects, the Central Architects Association organized a seminar on “Strategic cooperation: The key to breakthrough for Vietnamese design consulting offices in the new context”. The seminar attracted a large number of architects and experts in the industry, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and association to improve competitiveness and international integration.

The speakers focused on discussing the necessity of joint ventures and associations between architectural offices to create valuable works. The issue of limitations of young architects was also mentioned. Cooperation in design consulting is an inevitable trend, especially when the capacity of the unit is limited. However, it is necessary to clearly distinguish between domestic and international cooperation. Domestic cooperation often revolves around the issue of cost, while international cooperation requires improving capacity to meet higher standards.

The event was organized by the Central Branch of the Vietnam Association of Architects, with the support of the Architecture Magazine, Institute of Architecture, Center for Development of Architectural Practice, Center for Architectural Communication, GmP, Coninco, Agohub, Kienviet.

Thai Binh Association of Architects – Connecting young people, spreading creativity

On April 24, 2025, Thai Binh Association of Architects held a ceremony to celebrate the 77th anniversary of Vietnam Architecture Day, combined with the launch of the Thai Binh Young Architects Club. The event gathered representatives of many architects’ associations from Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ninh… and many Young Architects’ Clubs in the Northern region, demonstrating a strong spirit of connection and orientation for developing a dynamic young team.

Vinh Phuc Association of Architects – Expanding inter-regional connections

Vinh Phuc Association of Architects coordinated with the Young Architects’ Club of the Northern Midlands and Mountains to organize a series of events such as friendly football tournaments, thematic seminars, and community activities to consult on the renovation of public spaces. This is a highlight showing the trend of inter-regional connections in professional activities.

Thai Nguyen Association of Architects – Sports activities and appreciation for the profession

In Thai Nguyen, the Provincial Association of Architects successfully coordinated to organize the first TAF Football Tournament, with the participation of many members and construction enterprises. At the same time, the Association implemented the communication project “Achievements of Thai Nguyen Architecture from 1975 to present”, to pay tribute to the previous generation of architects and affirm the role of architecture in local development.

Phu Tho Association of Architects – Solemn and cohesive

On April 24, 2025, Phu Tho Association of Architects held a meaningful anniversary meeting, admitted new members and strengthened the relationship with Vinh Phuc Association of Architects with representatives of the Department of Construction, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of the province, the Provincial Construction Association, Architects of all generations and representatives of Vinh Phuc provincial architects attending, demonstrating the growth and inheritance of the local architect team. At the meeting, the Association admitted 05 more members to the Provincial Association of Architects and received congratulations from invited delegates and a number of businesses in the province.

Vung Tau Association of Architects and the Southeast Young Architects Club – Youth and Integration

In Vung Tau, the Association of Architects and the Southeast Young Architects Club successfully organized the Pima Cup 2025 Football Tournament, gathering architects from Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan, Tay Ninh and Ba Ria – Vung Tau. The event not only brought an exciting sports atmosphere but also created opportunities for young architects to exchange with new construction material enterprises and modern construction technology.

At the same time, the Association organized a seminar on “The impact of administrative unit arrangement on planning work”, helping young architects prepare to adapt to major changes in urban management and development.
