On the evening of January 9, 2025, at Pan Pacific Hanoi Hotel (No. 01 Thanh Nien Street), the Vietnam Association of Architects held a year-end ceremony & meeting with generations of Vietnamese architects to express gratitude for the contributions of the grassroots associations of architects, partners, organizations and individuals who have gathered, united and promoted the intellectual talents of architects to build and develop modern Vietnamese architecture, imbued with national identity, making practical contributions to the industrialization and modernization of the country.
The ceremony was attended by Ms. Nguyen Phuong Lan – Director of the Department of Culture and Arts, Central Propaganda Department; Mr. Kieu Cao Chung – Deputy Director of Department 5, Central Organizing Committee; Ms. Tran Thu Hang – Director of the Department of Planning and Architecture – Ministry of Construction; Mr. Pham Trung Giang – Deputy Director of the Department of Non-governmental Organizations – Ministry of Home Affairs; Mr. Doan Thanh No – Party Secretary/Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations; Mr. Tran Ngoc Chinh – Former Deputy Minister of Construction, President of the Urban and Rural Planning Association; Ms. Nguyen Thi Duyen – President of the Vietnam Construction Consultant Association; Representatives of business partners, friends of the Vietnam Association of Architects; together with leaders of the Vietnam Association of Architects, members of the Standing Committee, Executive Committee, President of the Association of Grassroots Architects, and officials who have worked and are working at the Vietnam Association of Architects.
At the ceremony, guests had the opportunity to look back on 2024 through 10 typical activities of the Vietnam Association of Architects. The past year 2024 was a year that recorded many practical and meaningful activities of the architects, many contributions to the community, society and the cause of building and developing the country.
Sharing at the ceremony, Dr. Architect. Phan Dang Son – President of the Vietnam Association of Architects expressed his thanks and comments: “In the past year, the Vietnam Association of Architects has properly and promptly performed the assigned tasks. To achieve that success, we cannot do without the support from departments, partners and the responsibility of the members and staff of the Association. Entering the new year, we will work together to continue to complete the important tasks this year. I wish all units today a warm meeting, preparing for a successful new year. “
Ms. Nguyen Phuong Lan – Director of the Department of Culture and Arts, Central Propaganda Department also sent her best wishes: “Congratulations on the successes that the Vietnam Association of Architects has achieved last year. Last year, the Vietnam Association of Architects carried out many events with presence, points and high human values. This year, the Vietnam Association of Architects will organize a Congress with a series of response activities. We hope the Vietnam Association of Architects will continue to successfully complete the assigned tasks.”
Mr. Doan Thanh No – Party Secretary/Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations also gave his guidance: “The year 2024 has ended with many impressive achievements of the Vietnam Association of Architects, affirming the pioneering position of the country’s architecture. In addition to the 10 achievements of the Association in the past, I also highly appreciate the activities: National Architecture Awards, International Conferences and Cooperation; participation and comments on perfecting the Architecture Law, Capital. However, next year, the Association of Architects needs to focus on digital transformation, application of new technology; application of Green materials; organizing integrated training programs for young architects, helping young architects access new technology; international cooperation, preserving architectural values in urban areas. I believe that with the spirit of contribution and constant innovation, the Association of Architects will develop stronger and stronger.”
Representatives of central agencies and leaders of the Vietnam Association of Architects took the stage to raise a glass to celebrate the “Year-end Party”. Taking place in a solemn but equally warm atmosphere, the ceremony brought many emotions with the musical exchange between generations of architects, sharing the hope for a new year with responsibility, creativity and humanity.
