Implementing the Prime Minister’s direction on the task of overcoming the consequences of floods, quickly rebuilding houses to stabilize the lives of people in areas severely damaged by floods, Vietnam Television has proposed and received approval from the People’s Committee of Lao Cai province to coordinate with the province in the reconstruction and reconstruction of houses and civil works for the two most difficult and severely damaged areas in the recent storm and flood in Lang Nu village, Bao Yen district and Nam Tong village, Bac Ha district. The housing project will be built in the new planning area along with a number of civil works such as: schools, clinics, community centers, clean water supply works, etc. to help households overcome the struggles and stabilize their lives soon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"On the morning of September 16, 2024, Vietnam Television (VTV) held an online meeting with the participation of Lao Cai Provincial People’s Committee, representatives of Army Corps 12 – Ministry of National Defense, representatives of the Vietnam Association of Architects, Bac Ha District People’s Committee and Bao Yen District People’s Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking at the meeting, Architect Hoang Thuc Hao – Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Architects gave some opinions on planning and design work to select locations, calculate architectural design options for houses to ensure disaster prevention and be suitable for traditional architecture and customs of the Tay V\u00c2people (Lang Nu village) and Mong people (Nam Tong village). To serve the design, immediately after the Department of Construction begins the 1\/500 scale mapping, the Vietnam Architectural Association will send people to Lao Cai to survey the entire area and design on-site two house models suitable for the functionality and traditional architecture and customs of the Tay and Mong ethnic groups.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the evening of September 16, 2024, after receiving the preliminary topographic map, the architects urgently developed preliminary planning routing plans and by the afternoon of September 17, 2024, sent 3 plans to Lao Cai and held a meeting with Lao Cai province and experts on the evening of September 17, 2024. After discussion, they agreed on the direction of adjustment, combining the strengths of the plans, and proposing a routing solution to serve the immediate leveling construction organization. On September 18, the team of architects directly inspected the terrain, worked with the Project Management Board, experts from Lao Cai province and Army Corps 12 to discuss appropriate design and construction solutions and keep up with the rapid progress. Due to the urgent progress, the planning and architectural design work was carried out simultaneously with the construction progress of Army Corps 12.<\/span><\/p>\n

The planning is based on the viewpoint of respecting the natural terrain, ensuring the minimum leveling volume, roads and house foundations are placed on different levels. Enclosing and cordoning off valuable green areas outside the leveling area. In addition to residential land for households, land is arranged for community houses and educational land including 2 kindergarten classes and 2 primary school classes.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, after receiving the task, the group of architects immediately conducted research and designed house models based on the characteristics of traditional indigenous architecture combined with modern materials. The architect group also organized meetings, invited ethnology experts, structural experts, and prefabricated components to participate in finding the optimal design, ensuring progress, quality, and suitability with the culture of the Tay and Mong people as well as traditional living habits and current needs of the people. Currently, the house models have been basically designed and are delving into detailed solutions.<\/span><\/p>\n
